SystemWhat it isBest forGood to know

Bio Sculpture gel

Used at The Nail Room

What it isA gel system built around your nails. Tracey chooses a base, adds strength where it is needed, then colour and a top coat.

Best forThin, soft or sore nails, extra strength, added length and detailed nail art.

Good to knowEverything is chosen after Tracey looks at your nails, and it works alongside Evo.

Evo

Used at The Nail Room

What it isBio Sculpture's gel polish. Quick to apply, with a thin, natural looking finish in gloss or soft matte.

Best forShort to medium nails, toes, and when you want a quicker appointment.

Good to knowThe gloss top coat lasts two weeks or more and Evo soaks off in around 10 to 12 minutes. For length and sculpting, Tracey uses Bio Sculpture gel.

Gel polish

What it isA thin coloured gel painted on and set under an LED or UV lamp.

Best forHealthy natural nails that want colour and shine.

Good to knowIt is thin, so it adds little support. Long or weak nails can still bend and break.

BIAB

What it isShort for builder in a bottle. A thicker gel brushed over the natural nail to add strength, then coloured or left natural.

Best forNails that split, flake or bend and need support.

Good to knowThicker than gel polish, so the finish can look more built up.

Acrylic

What it isA liquid and powder mixed and shaped on the nail. It sets on its own, with no lamp.

Best forLong extensions and sculpted shapes.

Good to knowStrong and hard wearing, with a noticeable smell while it is applied and more filing involved.

Dip powder

What it isThe nail is brushed with adhesive, dipped in coloured powder and sealed. No lamp needed.

Best forColour that stays put, with a firm feel.

Good to knowCan feel thick and heavy on the nail.

Her approach

Why Tracey works with Bio Sculpture and Evo

Every appointment starts with a look at your nails, not the colour chart.

Two systems, one brand

Because they work together, Tracey can use whichever suits your nails on the day, and change as your nails change.

Less buffing

Your natural nail is buffed as little as possible, so less of it is filed away.

A fit for most nails

Evo for short to medium nails and toes, Bio Sculpture gel for strength, length and detailed art. There is a right option for most nails.

Product details come from Bio Sculpture's own information: Bio Sculpture Evo and Bio Sculpture FAQs.

Aftercare

Looking after your nails, hands and feet

Simple habits make any system last longer and keep the skin around it comfortable.

Nails

  • Do not pick or peel gel off. It takes layers of your own nail with it. Book a soak off instead.
  • Use cuticle oil once or twice a day.

Hands

  • Moisturise after washing and use hand cream at night.
  • Wear gloves for washing up and cleaning.

Feet

  • Dry between your toes after washing.
  • Moisturise your heels and change socks daily.

Skin and cuticles

  • Push cuticles back gently rather than cutting them.
  • Keep the skin around your nails moisturised.

If a nail changes colour, thickens, lifts or hurts, or the skin around it looks red or swollen, see your GP or pharmacist before booking. Tracey checks the condition of your nails and skin at every appointment.

Questions

Nail system questions

What is the difference between gel polish and Bio Sculpture gel?

Gel polish is a thin layer of colour. Bio Sculpture gel is a system: Tracey chooses a base that adds strength or length, then colour and a top coat.

Do I need to know which system I want before I book?

No. Message Tracey with what you are looking for. She will look at your nails and recommend the system that suits them.

Can Evo and Bio Sculpture gel be used together?

Yes. They are fully compatible, so Tracey can combine them or change between them as your nails change.

Is Evo vegan?

Yes. Evo contains no animal products and is not tested on animals.

How long will my nails last?

It depends on your nails, your work and how you look after them. The Evo gloss top coat keeps its finish for two weeks or more.

No. The price is the same, so you can choose on what suits your nails. See the prices page for the full list.
